Ulsan Data Center Clears 100MW Power Grid Impact Assessment

The project has filed a 154kV / 100MW power grid impact assessment with KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) and has recently received technical confirmation that the requested power supply is feasible.

Why This Matters: Grid Capacity Is the Real Bottleneck

According to recent market research (CBRE), only 10 out of 522 grid impact assessment applications in Korea — representing just 1.9% of the 33,592MW requested — have ultimately been approved. Securing large-scale, confirmed power capacity is the single biggest bottleneck for data center development in Korea today, which makes this technical clearance a meaningful and scarce achievement.
